The boys soccer team dismantled the San Marcos Rattlers 6-0 in a high scoring/great defensive match last night at Lobo Field.  Leonel Melchor opened the scoring from a beautiful cross from senior Jmi Rodriguez. Sophomore Cory Bergstrom tallied the second goal, senior Fernando Castro blistered a ball for the third, Jmi Rodriguez tallied the fourth, and sophomore Oscar Garcia finished the scoring with two goals to round out the 6-0 final. The back four of Tanner Rojas, Jose Rangel, Cory Bergstrom and Jacques the Rock secured the shutout with Cristo! in the net. Oscar Martinez continued his comeback from injury with a solid game in the middle. The boys travel to mighty Dripping Springs Friday night to face the district favorites. (as of now...)

The JV boys soccer team opened district play last night with a dominating performance versus San Marcos.  The Lobos quickly extended their 1-0 halftime lead to win 4-0.  Jose "Pepito" Martinez paced the Lobo attack with a goal and two assists, and Ray Herrera put in a great defensive effort.  Your Lobos next will host the Rebels here on Tuesday night.

The JV boys continued their winning ways last night with a 3-0 dominating performance against Lockhart.  Manny Hernandez provided 3 first half goals and the defensive quartet of Oscar Prado, Edwin Guadarrama, Riley "Sunshine" Higgins and Jacob Smith held the Lions without a shot on goal all night.

JV improves their record to 5-1 heading into district play.

Come out next Tuesday to watch the district opener against a tough San Marcos squad, right here at Lehman field.  See you there!

Your boys needed about 25 minutes to get going last night, but for those of you who braved the cold (again), once they did get going it was a great game to watch. Fernando Castro opened the scoring with a textbook header. Oscar Garcia followed up with another goal. Junior Brandon Sanders tallied 2 goals for the Lobos (he is FAST)...and Sophomore defensive back Cory Bergstrom rounded out the scoring with an AMAZING volley from 20 yards. (Ask someone who saw this goal...even Arnie said he had never seen a goal that nice in his four years of high school play) Tanner Rojas and Jose Rangel held down the middle of the defense for the lobos to protect the shutout. The 5-0 win improves the lobos to 4-1-1 on the year and continues their recent winning streak to 4 games. Tough tournament coming up for the boys this weekend in Seguin followed by the opening district game versus the always strong San Marcos. MARK THAT ONE ON YOUR CALENDAR. ONE WEEK FROM TONIGHT AGAINST SAN MARCOS AT LEHMAN FIELD.

We will see you there. And there will be drums. Sit in the student section even if you aren't one-ITS WORTH IT.

The boys played well on Tuesday night knocking off a strong Lake Travis team in a the first shutout of the year for the team. Fernando "The Rocket" Castro  opened the game with a textbook finish off a cross from Brandon Sanders. The lobos followed that goal with three more-another from Castro, Ignacio "Nacho" Negrete, and a beautiful goal from sophomore Oscar Garcia. (you probably saw his name a few times last year) Junior Juan Gordillo played his best game of the year in the middle for Lehman, and probably deserves the "Man of the Match." Cristo and Julio Galvan held down the goal for the Lobos to complete the shutout.

The boys are riding a 3-game winning streak as they have Friday off and take on Lockhart next Tuesday.

Thanks to all those who braved the weather and came out to support your young men.
