1/19/2010 Lady Lobo Power Lifting
The team traveled across the interstate to Hays High this past Saturday to compete in the Rebel Power Lifting meet.
Our girls finished second behind NB Canyon with 38 points.  The results were as follows:
 
1st place: Adrieana Martinez
2nd Places: Shelbi Snyder, Alyssa Gaitan, Shannon Pickett, Vanessa Garcia, Marissa Garcia
3rd Places: Sheila Martinez, Martha Ochoa
4th Place: Kori Clark
6th Place: Alexis Pineda
7th Place: Kat Mohle
 
Also competing were: Michaela Castillo, Dena Asam and Kaila Bush.
 
The girls will be traveling to San Antonio Southside for their meet this Saturday.
 
Also there was a miscalculation of points at the UTSA meet, our girls team actually finished 4th rather than in a tie for 2nd.

1/11/2010 Lobo Power Lifting Results
The Power Lifting team travelled to the UTSA RoadRunner powerfest on Saturday taking 19 young men, it was a good day for the Lobo's The Lobos finshed in 1st place scoring 43 points and beating NB Canyon HS by 4 points.
The results were as follows:
1st places- Brandon Alford, Jacob Torres, David Garza and Orlando Banda 2nd places- Jon Frasier and Matthew Tirk both lost tiebreakers on body weight 3rd place- Cameron Baird 5th places- Josh Ramirez and Rudy Martinez Also competing were Brandon Scott, Johnny Limon, Kenny Higgins, Russell Reynolds, Richard Smith, Jeremie Rodriguez, Bobby Petmecky, Ethan Martin, Richard Porche, Kevin Ibanez and Matt Silbas.
 
The boys will be competing at the Hays Rebel meet at Joe Graham gymnasium on Saturday come out and support the Lobos.
1/11/2010 Lady Lobo Power Lifting results
Your Lady Lobo Power Lifting team travelled to the UTSA RoadRunner Powerfest meet on Friday evening.
We took 11 young ladies and came back tied for second with San Antonio Southside, but received the 3rd place trophy after losing the tie breaker with fewer 1st place finishes.
 
The results were as follows: 1st Place- Vanessa Garcia, 2nd Place- Michaela Castillo, Adrieana Martinez 4th Place- Alyssa Gaitan, Marissa Garcia 5th Place- Shannon Pickett Also competing were Shelbi Snyder, Dena Asam, Sheila Martinez, Alexis Pineda, and Martha Ochoa.
 
The girls will be competing at the Hays Rebel meet this Saturday in Joe Graham Gymnasium, come out and support the Lady Lobos.

2/17/2009 Lehman Power Lifting

The Boys and Girls Powerlifting teams competed at the UTSA powerlifting meet in San Antonio Saturday.
 
Both Teams finished 3rd overall, the girls missed out on 1st by 2 points.  If we had had one more girl lifting we would have won the meet outright.
 
Here are the individual results:
 
Placing 1st in their weight classes were: Caleb Frank, David Garza and Vanessa Garcia.
Placing 2nd were: Michaela Castillo, Sheila Martinez, and Shannon Pickett
Placing 3rd were: Jacob Torres, Matthew Tirk, Chris Duran, Matthew Villegas
Placing 4th was: Brandon Scott
Placing 5th was: Audrey Gaytan
Placing 6th was: Chris Cerda
Placing 8th was: Neil Dodson.
 
Michaela Castillo totaled 580 pounds which currently qualifies her for the state meet in Corpus Christi in March.  Vanessa Garcia totaled 615 pounds which is a Lehman girls record.  The girls will travel to Castroville for the Medina Valley meet on Saturday, this will be their last opportunity to qualify for the regional meet in Elgin on March 7th. 
 
The boys will be off this week and will travel to Del Valle on Feb 28th for their last meet to qualify for regional at Dripping Springs on March 7th.

1/20/2009 Lehman Power Lifting
Just wanted to let everyone know how our kids did at the Rebel Power lifting meet Saturday.

 

The boys team scored 33 points, finishing 2nd behind a very tough Dripping Springs team, losing out on first place by a slim 2 points.  The girls team, consisting of 3 hard working girls, tied Lockhart for 3rd place scoring 14 points.  This was the first meet of the season for the girls so we are looking forward to a good year from them.  Here are the individual results:
