Men's basketball
- Your men's varsity basketball team lost to
Del Valle last night as the District Champion Cardinals beat your
Lobos 68-46. Your Lobos allowed the Cardinals to jump out to an
early 21-12 first period lead, but then showed some resiliency as
they were only outscored by 6 points throughout the entire 2nd and
3rd periods. The Cardinals full court pressure finally wore down
your Lobos in the fourth period where the Lobos made too many costly
mistakes to mount a comeback.
-
- Despite this loss, your Lobos still have
their playoff hopes in their own hands. Your Lobos are in a MUST
win game at Elgin on Friday.

handle Friday night, before finally losing the game 40-32. They
Lady Lobos were within 4 points with 2 minutes to play, but
could not overcome the talented Cardinals. The Lady Lobos are
on the road tonight against Elgin and back at home against Hays
on Friday night.

1/19/2010 Lobo Basketball vs. Del Valle
- Your men's varsity basketball team fell to
the Del Valle Cardinals, Friday night, by a score of 38-63. Your
Lobos started the first period trading baskets with the Cardinals;
however, it became very evident in the second period that the
Cardinals were too strong for your Lobos as they out scored the
Lobos 23-12. From there, your Lobos just could not recover. This
loss drops your Lobos to 1 & 3 in district.

Basketball battle Willis
Your Lady Lobo
Basketball team battled Willis the number 9 team in the state last
night and fought bravely. After being down 20-7 half way through
the opening period, the girls held held Willis' high powered offense
scoreless the rest of the period. In the second period the Lady
Lobos went on an 11-0 run that cut the deficit to 20-18. The Lady
Lobos trailed at the half 26-20. After hitting a three to make the
score 26-23, Willis took over the game with their inside game. Even
though your Lady Lobos came up short 65-39, they never quit and left
everything on the floor. History was made last night, and next
season we hope to repeat it. Thanks to all the administrators who
showed up to support the girls, it really meant a lot.

2/11/2009 Men's
Varsity Basketball fall to Del Valle
- Last night, your men's varsity
basketball team went toe to toe with undefeated and district
leading Del Valle here in the Lobo Den. In what was a great
game, your Lobos fell just a few shots short of the upset losing
the game 52-59. Despite a slow, 16-7, first quarter start, the
Lobos outscored the Cardinals by two the rest of the way. The
coaching staff is very proud of the character and determination
displayed by the Lobos last night.
-
- Your Lobos next game will be Friday
here in the Lobo Den as they take on ELGIN. Friday's game will
be the last home game of the season for the Lobos. Friday will
also mark the last time that the the senior Lobos will play in

Basketball lost to San Marcos
Your men's varsity basketball team lost a hard fought battle with
San Marcos on Friday night. Your Lobos started slow, but were able
to out score San Marcos in the second quarter to even the score at
22. The third quarter saw both teams trade blows as San Marcos took
a 3 point lead heading into the final stanza. Your Lobos scored on
the first possession of the fourth quarter to pull the score to
30-31, but they would get no closer. From that point on, the
Rattlers went on a 9-0 run to seal the fate for your Lobos. The
final score ended up being 47-34.
The Lehman basketball teams will be in action again on Tuesday as
they take on district leading Del Valle here in the Lobo Den.
Please come out and support your Lobos. Game times tomorrow are

12/14/2008 loses heartbreaker to San
Marcos 52-50
- Your Lehman Lobos
men's varsity basketball team lost a heartbreaker last night here in
the Lobo Den. In the third district contest of the season, the San
Marcos Rattlers defeated your Lobos 52-50. It was a highly
contested battle. Your Lobos deserve tons of credit for clawing
themselves back into the contest after being down by as many as 9 in
the 3rd quarter. Unfortunately, San Marcos had an answer for every
run that the Lobos went on. The Lobos now find themselves 1-2 in
district and 11-10 for the season.

Lehman Varsity Boys
take Consolation Championship!!!!
LHS men's varsity basketball
team competed in the Hill Country Classic tournament this past weekend.
Despite playing good basketball, the Lobos dropped all three of their
games. The Lobos opened their tournament play against Cedar Park. In a
game that was much closer than the score indicates, your Lobos fell 74-60.
The second round opponent was SA Churchill. This game was tight from the
tip. With about two minutes left, the Lobos were down by only 1 point;
however, a few costly mistakes turned the momentum in the Charges favor, and
the Lobos lost the game 50-43. Finally, on Saturday, the Lobos faced
Dripping Springs. Unfortunately, the Lobos got off to a terrible start in
the first quarter and could not recover. The Lobos lost the game by a score
of 62-51.
The coaching staff is proud of
the effort displayed at this tough tournament. Your Lobos showed a lot of
promise as they competed against very good competition.

Lehman Varsity Boys
take Consolation Championship!!!!
A huge CONGRATULATIONS goes out
to your men's varsity basketball team as they won the Consolation
Championship at the Matador Classic this weekend. Your Lobos showed great
passion and grit as they competed in three games at the tournament.
Your Lobos opened the tournament
with a loss at the hands of Crockett, 65-56. Crockett pounced on the Lobos
early as they opened up a first quarter lead of 18-6. Despite winning the
final three quarters, your Lobos just could not over come the hole they had
dug themselves into.
In the second game, your Lobos
faced a District rival as they took on Lockhart. Despite having a hangover
from game one, your Lobos found a way to pull off a 64-55 victory over the
Lions. Your Lobos finished the game with an impressive 26 point fourth
quarter which sealed the deal.
In the Consolation Championship
game, your Lobos took on an old District rival in NB Canyon. Your Lobos
have been shut out of the victory column seven consecutive times versus the
Cougars.....But, Saturday was a different story. The game was nip and tuck
the entire way until with about three minutes in the fourth quarter when
your Lobos demonstrated tremendous heart, desire and determination on the
defensive end. Your Lobos held the Cougars to only two free throws in that
stretch. Your Lobos also sank 15 of 17 free throws in the fourth quarter to
stretch their slim 2 point lead into a 8 point victory, 54-46. It really
was GRIT and DESIRE that won the game.
Your Lobos are now 5 - 2 on the
season going in to their toughest game of the season thus far. Monday, your
Lobos look to knock off perennial power house Lake Travis in their BARN of a
gym. If you happen to be in the area, we would love to hear you howl for
your Lobos.
The coaching staff is extremely
proud of the effort of these fine young student-athletes, as you should be
too. They have embraced their role as leaders of the PACK in this school.
If you can find the time to say something to any of them, I am sure it would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your continued
support.

12/03/2008 Lehman Men's Varsity
Basketball Team win
3 in a row!
Your men's varsity basketball team won its third game in a row last
night here in the Lobo Den. Your Lobos DOMINATED St. Andrew's
winning by 24 points as they defeated the Crusaders 69-45.
Again, it was the Lobos' SMOTHERING defense that broke the game wide
open in the first quarter. Your Lobos jumped out to an impressive
17-8 first quarter lead and never looked back. By half time, the
score was 38-16. For the third game in a row, the Lobos held their
opponents in the 40's. Your Lobos are now 3 and 1 on the season and
look to extend their winning streak at the Matador Classic in Seguin
this Friday and Saturday. Your Lobos open up the tournament against
Crockett on Friday.
Unfortunately, if you have not seen the Lobos play yet, you now have
to wait until Monday, Dec. 15th.
