The Lobos finished 5th this weekend in the last competition before the District Meet.  Boerne Champion ranked 5th in the NATION finished 1st, followed by Del Rio, New Braunfels and Feast Home School. We had 3 runners finish in the top fifteen and receive medals. Ramon Martinez  finished 7th, Eddie Chabarria finished 11, and Juan Gordillo finished 15th. We had 3 varsity runners out that could have changed the outcome of the race...well except for the top spot. Anyway hope to see you guys in Lockhart next weekend.

The JV BOYS finished 3rd. Jose Rangel, Dane Peddycoart, and Blake Boston all received metals for the LOBOS. Ryan Sorensen ran varsity level this week. He would have made a difference in the place received by our JV guys.

Our Freshman guys competed in the JV division and did well. Next week they will compete in their own division at Lockhart.

Come out early and get ready to watch 2 of the top teams in the state battle it out for the district championship. Lockhart has won it for the last 21 years. Our goal is to end their streak.

Thanks in advance for those that have made this a successful season so far.

The Lobo Boys Cross Country Team finished 4th in todays meet at UTSA. It was a very warm run, with a jammed pack course of top teams. The Lobos were lead by Senior Juan Gordillo finishing 13th, Sophomore Javier Torres 18th, Junior Eddie Chabarria 19th, Senior Oscar Prado 37th and rounding out the top 5 was Sophomore Ramon Martinez at 41. Ramon was a little under the weather as most people in the state are at this time. Our goal was still to have 5 in the top 20 and we were close. With this type of competition it was going to be tough.Mercedes who is ranked number 4 in the state won the meet with 79 points, Weslaco finished 2nd with 93 points. Boerne Champion who is ranked 2nd in the state finished 3rd with 105 points, and We finished 4th with 128. There were over 25 teams there and I dont know the number of runners, but a bunch!!! Not a bad days work.

    JV BOYS

results will be posted when they come in. Their race was changed to a 2 mile race due to heat.....

Well once again the Varsity Boys Cross Country Team started the season off with a bang. The Lobos took 1st place in the Wimberley Texan Cross Country Invitational. Sophomore Ramon Martinez finished 5th, Senior Juan Gordillo 6th, Eddie Chabarria 8th, Senior Oscar Prado 9th, Sophomore Javier Torres 13th, Senior Stefan Munoz 18th, and Senior Edwin Guadarrama 41st. The guys did an outstanding job representing the school and the tradition that Lehman Cross Country has established.

For the new people at our school, the Boys Varsity have been at regionals the last 3 years. We finished 7th last year, not running our best race. We were ranked in the top 10 in the state for 5 weeks last year as well. We have some new faces, but they have the same work ethic. We run next week at Gary Job Corp in San Marcos. It will be a huge meet. The college programs will be running as well. Come out and enjoy the fun, it is right down the road!!!

The JV Boys results are not in at this time. I will send a write up when I get the information on Monday.
